Influencer Eva Gutowski got a lip flip on Dec. 8

She documented the entire healing journey on her TikTok, sharing videos from day one post-op and beyond

Gutowski's comment sections were flooded with what she refers to as "troll comments," but it didn't stop her from continuing to post about her new lips

On Dec. 8, TikTok's "professional big sister" Eva Gutowski (@mylifeaseva) got a surgical lip flip. Since then, she's been generous in sharing her healing process with the public.

The journey began with a 2-minute TikTok posted on Dec. 8. Gutowski shared why she ultimately decided on the surgical route, what she previously tried, and how the surgery works, writing: "HERE GOES NOTHING!! I’ve been thinking about this surgery as an option for me for 10 years now and I’m so excited to finally do it! 🥹🫦🩷 follow along to see the progress of healing!! #liplift #plasticsurgery #transformation."

Gutowski frequently talks about her "gummy smile," a part of her face that she's grown to love. What she doesn't love, however, is her muscular top lip that disappears every time she smiles. In the past, she's tried lip filler, Botox lip flips and various types of lip liners — none of which have worked. So she finally decided to get a surgical lip flip, explaining to her followers that a section of the skin above her top lip would be removed, allowing her upper lip to sit exactly where she wants it when smiling.

Directly after the surgery, Gutowski started sharing her healing process.

In her day-one post-surgery reveal, Gutowski showed off her swollen upper lip, saying, "I think it looks good." Even though she warned viewers the swelling needed to go down and the upper lip still needed to drop, the "trolls" immediately came after her.

"Please tell me you are playing with me rn," one commenter said. Another wrote, "Just get a lawyer right now honestly." Despite the hate, Gutowski continued to post updates.

She viewers on day three, day five, and when she got her stitches out about one week post-surgery. "Things are looking so much better than day one," Gutowski said on day five. "Obviously, we've got a long road of healing to go, but day five, I feel like I'm finally starting to see my natural lip shape come through some more."

Gutowski shared that the entire healing process should take about three months.

Even as the swelling continued to go down, hate still piled up in Gutowski's comments. In response, she posted several videos clapping back at what she calls her "troll comments." In one video, posted on Dec. 11, Gutowski used the sound "only the strongest survive," writing: "me reading troll comments about my lip but I went through being body shamed for wearing a literal bikini to the beach in 2015 so nothing can touch me."

However, some supportive comments rolled in. "This might be the best lip lift result I’ve seen and it’s not even done healing yet," one person wrote. Another wrote, "It looks cuter everyday girl theyre wrongggg 😭😭😭."

Gutowski has also been sharing content to her Instagram post-surgery, showing off her new lips in a post captioned, "NYC first snow of the season!!! 🎄❄️☃️."

In her most recent TikTok post, Gutowski joked about scaring a small European village with her "lower east side aura farming strut." One commenter wrote, "And with the new pout.. their moments from clutching their pearls 😭🤌🏼😂❤️," and Gutowski answered, "FRESH OFF THE TABLE 💀😂."
