Songs sung by iconic Disney characters will be re-released in American Sign Language in Disney Animation’s "Songs in Sign Language."
The musical sequences will debut on Disney+ to celebrate National Deaf History Month, which takes place from April 1 to April 30, according to a Disney+ news release.
Disney Animation Studios, in collaboration with Deaf West Theatre, reimagined three songs, all from recently released movies, in ASL, according to information emailed to USA TODAY.
Here's what to know about the reimagined songs.

Three songs from Disney's hit movies “Frozen 2,” “Encanto” and “Moana 2” are being reimagined and reanimated in American Sign Language.
The production was directed by Hyrum Osmond, a veteran animator and director whose father is deaf.
"The inspiration for this project came from my Dad," Osmond said in a statement. "He was always very supportive of my career, and he would always watch my movies with subtitles. He also loved going to the theater because he could feel the vibrations and experience things in a whole different way."

However, growing up, Osmond never learned sign language, and he said he believes that it's a barrier that prevented him from "really connecting" with his father.
Osmand began this project, not only because he believes ASL is "one of the most beautiful ways of communication on Earth," but also because he wanted to connect with the Deaf community.
