- Ciara is addressing fan requests that she be the next lead of *The Bachelorette *after ABC pulled its last season.

- "F--- no. I'm way too private," Miller said in a new interview with *Glamour*. "I'm so happy being single. Honestly, I can't imagine anyone being in my apartment."

- The *Summer House* star was entered into the race after costars Amanda Batula and West Wilson — her close friend and ex, respectively — confirmed their rumored romance.

If ABC is looking for someone to lead the next season of *The Bachelorette*, Ciara Miller is not volunteering as tribute.

The *Summer House *star has been a popular pick on social media to star in the next season of the reality dating competition series after the network pulled its 22nd season in March following then-lead Taylor Frankie Paul's alleged domestic violence incident. (Utah authorities recently announced that the *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives* star won't be facing new charges in the wake of its investigation into the allegations.)

"F--- no. I'm way too private," Miller said when asked if she'd sign up for the series in a *Glamour* cover story published Friday.

The nurse and model entered the topic of conversation after getting caught in the maelstrom of headlines due to *Summer House *costars Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirming their rumored romance. The news sent the show fandom — and its cast — into a frenzy because of Wilson's very public breakup with Miller, who has been close friends with Batula for years. Although their brief dalliance following Wilson's addition to the cast in 2023 ended on less-than-friendly terms, the pair have maintained a will-they-or-won't-they vibe ever since.

The show's latest season featured multiple cast members wondering if Miller and Wilson were getting back together. At one point in the season, Wilson even referred to Miller as "the love of my life."

Wilson was also close with costar Kyle Cooke, to whom Batula had been married for four years before they announced their split in January.

As Miller told *Glamour, *she "definitely" felt closest with Batula between the pair, "because West and I were working" on their relationship. Miller explained that Batula "felt like a very calm spirit initially" and "someone that I always felt comfortable talking to," which made their bond seem seamless. "She always felt like a nonjudgmental figure to go to," Miller added.

"I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long," Miller said of her shock after learning of Batula and Wilson's relationship. "I think that's the craziest part."

Much of *Summer House'*s current season showcased Miller and Batula's close bond as the latter's marriage to Cooke fell apart. That's an element that especially sticks with Miller now. When reminded of how she stuck up for Batula throughout the season, she lamented: "I've fought with your own husband to advocate for you. I have championed you. I have tried to be there in different ways for you and help you and get you to see your value in yourself."

"And so to be disregarded in such a disrespectful way is.... Honestly, it's.... I'm at a loss for words sometimes," she admitted.

Miller has gotten a lot of flak from *Summer House *fans online because of her dating history on the show, which solely includes Wilson and *Southern Charm* star Austen Kroll, both of whom are white men. She admitted that she doesn't like the "grief" she gets for her taste in men, noting, "But here's the thing: I've only technically dated two people publicly. For people to make a really roundabout statement about my taste based on two people is annoying and frustrating. I'm trying to figure out dating."

She continued, "If I were a f---ing expert, don't you think I would probably be married? But I'm not. Why do we put this pressure on young women like it's our fault for not seeing who this person was immediately? It's our fault for having bad taste in men, when men often present themselves as one way for the first three months and then completely end up being someone totally different."

That's a large part of why Miller passionately refuses to join *The Bachelorette*, sharing that she finds dating especially hard as a Black woman who is often being sexualized or stereotyped on reality TV.

"It's hard. Dating interracially is a whole other layer — the nuances of interracial dating and how much of a mindf--- it can be," she told the outlet. "Not only do you have to figure out who this person f---ing voted for, you have to figure out, like, 'Okay, you're attracted to me, you like me, but do you like people that look like me?' Because I'm just one person, but would you really advocate for all of us? That, to me, is important and vital because I don't want to be an exception to your rule at all."

As Miller added, "There's a fine line between, 'Okay, I just want to experience something new,' and being fetishized."

Much of the public conversation around Wilson and Batula's controversial relationship has debated how race comes into play in the cast dynamics, especially since Miller has vocalized how the men on the show — including costar Jesse Solomon, who asked Wilson during season 10 about the possibility of him kissing Miller if given the chance — have proven that they just want to "experience" her and being relegated to a "hook-up."

As she reflected on how *Summer House *itself has tackled conversations about race and how she's perceived as part of the cast, Miller acknowledged that she and her fellow Black costars typically move with a "different awareness" than her white castmates.

"Growing up, my dad always said, 'The older you are, the Blacker you get,'" she mused. "You don't notice it when you're a kid, but the older you get, you'll start to notice the nuances of your relationships with people, how people treat you, how they value you, how they see or don't see you in a scenario. People can say it has nothing to do with race, but I think at the crux of it, it has everything to do with race. Why is it that I'm so much more disposable than another person?"

And that conversation went beyond just dating, Miller pointed out. "People love to say that they're scared of me, or that I'm scary," she noted. "What have I done that's been scary? Because a lot of the time I say nothing and I remove myself from a situation. Even if I do yell, like, Kyle's yelling, Carl's yelling, everyone else is also yelling! So why am I so much more scary than any of the guys yelling? How is it that I'm already getting labeled as scary and intimidating?"

As such, Miller told *Glamour *that's she more focused on her community than anything romance. "I'm so happy being single," she gushed. "Honestly, I can't imagine anyone being in my apartment. I don't think it's a bad thing to be single."
